Kraig Kinser Rolling Through The World Of Outlaws Season

2005 Knoxville Nationals winner, Kraig Kinser, driving the Steve Kinser Racing #11K, has amassed five top-ten finishes thus far on the 2010 World of Outlaws (WoO) season and has qualified in the top ten six times during the young season’s first twelve events. Driving the Gerkin-Kinser Racing Engines-powered Maxim Chassis machine, Kraig will return to the half-mile Jackson Speedway in Jackson, Minnesota this weekend for the first time since 2005.
After having spent the last several seasons driving for other car owners and in other series, Kraig is very happy to be “back home” in the white family-owned 11K and is feeling more and more comfortable with his rookie crew chief and future brother-in-law, Mike Kuemper.

We have all heard the expression, “What a difference a year makes,” and it couldn’t hold more truth that it did for Kraig Kinser this week-end at the World of Outlaws Sprint Series races in Tulare, CA. Dirtcar Nationals Fuels the Fire on the Thrill of Kraig Kinser Back in the 11k

It has been a long time since Kraig Kinser has felt competitive in a sprint car. In fact, it was probably the last time he was in the family-owned #11K Maxim, in which he will be racing during the 2010 season. To kick of the season, Kinser headed down to Florida to compete in the Dirtcar Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park, which consisted of two All-Star Circuit of Champions races, followed by a three night season opener for the World of Outlaws. The week did not go as planned, as the team had several motor failures throughout the week, but through it all, when the trailer doors closed up, Kinser had nothing but high hopes for the remainder season. ... Kraig Kinser Heads To Dirtcar Nationals Aboard Family Owned Machine

Barberville, FL — Kraig Kinser first drove a sprint car for his father Steve back in 2000 when he made his debut in the machines that made his family famous. He won his first sprint car race driving for his dad in 2002. He took to the road full-time with the World of Outlaws for the first time in 2004 aboard the family owned machine and claimed the Kevin Gobrecht Rookie of the Year Award He won sprint car racing’s biggest event, the Knoxville Nationals behind the wheel for his father’s team the following year.

This season the third generation driver will be back behind the wheel for Steve Kinser Racing in the No. 11K on the World of Outlaws tour, beginning with the 39th Annual Florida DIRTcar Nationals by University of Northwestern Ohio at Volusia Speedway Park, February 5-7. He will have rookie crew chief Mike Kuemper along with his sister Stevie helping turn the wrenches.
